Position: Bookkeeper & Funder

SE Title Company is a growing real estate title company committed to accuracy, compliance, and exceptional service. We handle residential and commercial real estate closings and are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Bookkeeper & Funder to support our accounting and funding operations.

Position Summary:

The Bookkeeper & Funder will be responsible for managing escrow accounting, funding real estate closings, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. This role is critical to maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely, error-free disbursements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle funding of real estate closings, including wire and check disbursements

  • Reconcile escrow/trust accounts daily and monthly

  • Maintain accurate bookkeeping records and ledgers

  • Review settlement statements (CDs/HUDs) for accuracy prior to funding

  • Process incoming and outgoing wires and deposits

  • Ensure compliance with state regulations and internal controls

  • Coordinate with closers, lenders, and management regarding funding and balances

  • Assist with audits and reporting as needed

Qualifications:

  • Experience in real estate title accounting and/or funding required

  • Strong understanding of escrow accounting and trust reconciliation

  • Familiarity with title software and accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SoftPro, Resware, or similar)

  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working at a title company or real estate firm

  • Knowledge of state-specific title and escrow regulations

  • Wire fraud prevention and funding compliance experience

Position: Commercial Litigation Associate (Fort Lauderdale)

Dickinson Wright seeks a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney with 2 to 5 years of experience to join its Fort Lauderdale office. Candidates must be licensed to practice law in Florida.

 

The ideal candidate will also have an entrepreneurial mindset and:

  • experience handling legal research, drafting motions, pleadings and written discovery as well as capable of handling hearings with all variety of issues;

  • the ability to take ownership of significant portions of litigation matters;

  • strong legal writing and communication skills;

  • exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and issue resolution abilities; and
